St Martin's Voices present an ethereal programme for Holy Saturday, including Allegri's stunningly beautiful Miserere and James MacMillan’s evocative contemporary setting of the same text. Performed alongside the haunting polyphony of Victoria’s Requiem, these unaccompanied choral works form an exquisite contemplation on the themes of Eastertide.

This concert lasts one hour with no interval.

Programme to include:

Allegri – Miserere

Victoria – Ave Maria

Byrd – Justorum animae

Purcell – Thou knowest, Lord

Purcell arr. Sandström – Hear my prayer, O Lord

Tavener – Funeral Ikos

Owain Park – Justorum animae

Arvo Pärt – Bogoroditsye Dyevo

James MacMillan – Miserere
