About the event
Join us in the ancient splendour of The Temple Church, London for Merlin’s Isle: A Journey in Words and Music, a concert weaving together poetry and song in celebration of Malcolm Guite’s new four-part poetic cycle Merlin’s Isle. In this richly layered work, Malcolm draws out the Christian bedrock at the heart of the Arthurian stories, revealing their spiritual depth and enduring resonance.
The evening will feature live readings by Malcolm from Galahad and the Grail - the first volume, due to be published in March - and from future volumes in the cycle, accompanied by choral music from the acclaimed St Martin’s Voices, directed by Andrew Earis.
Set in the evocative surroundings of Temple Church, this unique event invites you into a world of quest, mystery and lyrical and musical beauty. Tickets are £15 (£10 concessions). Booking is essential.
