New Composer-in-Residence

We are thrilled to announce the appointment of Lucy Walker as the 2023-24 St Martin’s Voices Composer-in-Residence.

Lucy is an award-winning composer, pianist and music educator based in Cambridge. Since completing her postgraduate studies at Gonville and Caius College in 2021, Lucy has received major commissions from groups including the BBC Singers.

Lucy will begin with the premiere of her setting of I Saw Eternity (setting poetry by Henry Vaughan) on 15 June 2023 at St Martin’s. She will also write a suite of carols to be recorded by St Martin’s Voices on the Resonus Classics label, for release in Autumn 2023, among several other commissions to be announced across the year.

We look forward to welcoming Lucy to St Martin’s.
