At the end of August, St Martin’s Voices will be visiting Lindisfarne in Northumberland where we are collaborating on a new Festival, the St Aidan’s Festival, based in St Mary’s Church on the island. On Saturday 31 August we will present the main concert, featuring poems written and read by Jay Hulme from his book The Vanishing Song, alongside reflective choral music and a new work by our composer-in-residence Lucy Walker.
Across the weekend, we will also sing Choral Evensong, Compline, a Festival Eucharist, and lead a walking pilgrimage in song across the island. If you are in Northumberland that weekend please do come along to any of these services and events!
Alternatively, the Saturday night performance will be available to watch online for 60 days afterwards.
