Lucy Walker: Choral Works, the latest album from St Martin's Voices with Resound Classics

St Martin's Voices are delighted to announce the release of their third album with Resonus Classics, Lucy Walker: Choral Works.

Written primarily over the course of Lucy Walker's time as Composer-in-Residence at St Martin-in-the-Fields, this delightfully varied debut album showcases one of the most exciting new voices in choral composition. Spanning some of her earliest written works to her most recent commissions, this compelling selection exhibits shimmering musicality and sensitivity, from the warm tenderness of Here, Home to the playful ebullience of And my love loves me!.

Walker's compositional voice is unmistakeable across every track, beautifully melody-driven and harmonically rich, while always maintaining distinction from track to track. As well as exhibiting her luminous acapella work, the disc also features organist Stephan Farr, who joins the choir for tracks such as The St Martin's Service and Let All the World, providing joyous textural contrast.

The album is available for purchase here, or you can listen on all major streaming platforms.
