The Gift of This New Day: Music for Daily Prayer through the year

St Martin's Voices are delighted to announce the release of their new album, 'The Gift of This New Day' with Church House Publishing.

Since its launch in 2021, the Royal School of Church Music's Daily Prayer podcast has, through the combined efforts of spoken word and music, become a spiritual comfort to millions, with over 3.1 million users and nearly 12 million downloads. This CD brings together a selection of the most requested pieces of music featured on Morning Prayer across the different seasons of the church year. Included among these pieces are works based on the likes of Hildegard von Bingen, Henry Walford-Davies and Sergei Rachmaninov, as well as five new commissions by Cecilia McDowall, Nils Greenhow, Sarah MacDonald, Owain Park and Lucy Walker. 

An accompanying music book, published by the Royal School of Church Music, has also been released, designed for use by all manner of individuals, choirs or congregations.
