Last week St Martin's Voices performed for the re-opening of the National Gallery's Sainsbury Wing. Their programme explored the intimate relationship between visual art and music through four short concerts, each based upon a different painting, calling on themes of love, celebration, companionship and music-making. Journeying from jewels of the English madrigalian tradition to contemporary masterworks by the likes of Judith Weir and Lucy Walker, this eclectic programme was a wonderful opportunity for the Voices to connect with art in all its forms and was greatly enjoyed by all who participated.

The Voices will next be performing at the National Gallery on 19th September as part of the Friday Lates series.
